"Wave of the Day", Shipsterns 2006

"Wave of the Day", "Wave of the Year" These are terms not used very lightly when thrown Laurie Towners way. In Fact "Biggest wave ever paddled into at Shipsterns" is still used when describing the wave he took off on in Febuary of 2006. With an all star cast including Joel Parkinson, Andy Irons and Dylan Longbottom, it was Laurie that took home the Gold on this trip, proving at the young age of 19, that this day was not a fluke, this was simply just one of the early signs of his young career that Greater things were to come. Enjoy !!

Laurie Towner, Mark Mathews y Ryan Hipwood vieron venir este swell masivo a la costa Oeste de Australia y no dudaron en tomar el primer avión a lo que sería la sesión de sus vidas.
